Today marks four years to the day since we boarded the plane in Nashville, Tennessee, flying to Berlin, Germany with a stop in Amsterdam. There were four of us: Amy, her mom, her brother, and I and we each brought two checked bags. That was it. Eight suitcases to start our new lives in Europe.
To top it off, Amy and I had only been married for ten days.
We were nervous, moving to a country where we didn't know anyone, didn't speak the language, and had no idea how to get around. I had never been to Europe. We were excited, though, and ready for adventure.
